My Perfect Pass has given up the fight and I am looking for a replacement unit or upgrade to Star Gazer. Will need both the gauge and module.
Will be installed in a 2005 SN206

Greg, last summer I upgraded my factory installed perfect pass to a 3 event star gazer system. Bought it new from a dealer for about $1k and installed it on my 2004 6 liter ski. Very simple install as servo and most cables were reused. Changed the "box" and digital display and programmed in a nearby lake slalom course. My buddies and I used the heck out of it and it maintains repeated course times within 0.03 seconds both directions in the course at 34.2 at 35 off with a hard pulling skier. I was really impressed after we got it dialed in and got familiar with the menu screen. No magnets. Just approach the couse near the set speed and use both hands to steer. The star gazer will take control and will change a few hundred rpm' s in the course. I dubbed it my Star Geezer System. Pm me for more info. Todd

NCH20SKIER,
I installed StarGazer on.my 2004 SKi Nautique 196 last year. The installation went smoothly except it was a challenge to get the servo cable routed as I also had heater hoses that took up a lot of space. The system holds speed very well, cost me $1,000 money well spent. No more hoping for the best when the driver is busy/inattentive to speed maintenance.

Same advice I gave Greg - I'd go directly to PP. They are GREAT to work with, quick shipping and most dealers don't want to fuss with ordering as they tend not to stock. I have waited for PN and CCFan group buys and there wasn't a significant price break. FWIW IMHO.

Greg, does that mean you sold the "Chris Craft - free with trailer"?

No, but I have moved some boxes in the garage and caught a glimpse of the aft 1/4 of it...
