Hey everyone. A quick question . . . I have a 1976 Nautique with a 351W . . . at least 6,000 hours and has never had an overhaul/rebuild. Does this motor or any parts attaching to the motor have a ZINC ANODE? And if so, where would I find it? Thank you.

6,000 hours? That's remarkable.

I have an '89 &^ not aware of an anode.

Why are you focused on corrosion when it might throw a rod anytime?

Typically only necessary in salt water or brackish waters, where do you run?

She's only been in salt water once, long ago. Most hours on lakes with maybe 500 hours in the Sacramento delta.

Still would like to hear from others in the forum if it's possible that my '76 may have (or had) an anode?

No anodes as standard equipment.
