I am considering purchasing a 1981 ski nautique that needs the front windshield replaced.   Does anyone know the cost to replace the glass and if it is even possible to do so or do I need to find a complete windshield assemble from a parts boat.

If the cost is to high I will pass on the boat and use the money to bump up my budget to a 2001 style hull.

Thanks.

Jacob,
You best option since you do have the frame is to find a glass shop. They can cut it and have it tempered. I'm sure they would also be the best at giving you a cost.

Although certainly not original or the best option would be to use either Plexiglass or Lexan. Both are not scratch resistant and Plexi can break. Plexi was used for years in the curved windshields of boats. Clear or tinted in both. Reasonable price.
BTW both are used in 200 mph airplanes.
