Bought a 97 Super Sport last year and the previous owner (boat/trailer were in Lake Cumberland, Ky entire life) had just purchased a brand new Eagle Tandem Trailer.
The trailer now has less than 2K miles on and it is in new condition.
Never been in salt...but i'm in NW Fl and would like to begin using the boat in the bays...but not until I get a galvanized trailer.

If anyone has a galvanized trailer that would fit...and is interested in entertaining a trade, pls let me know.

Trailer is located in Panama City, FL.
Thanks!

Galvanized trailers rust out in salt too. Galvanize is an electro plating process that will not protect blind areas like the inside of box sections. So like many, even in fresh water,it will rust from the inside. Every time you launch, those box sections will fill with water that you will not be able to flush out. If you end up having to buy a trailer check into an aluminum framed one, many of which have stainless hardware too.

True, Galvanized trailers will rot out down here pretty fast as well. OP for what its worth I just had a Continental tandem aluminium speced out for just under $2500. No brakes. I thought that was a good price but it still has wood / carpet bunks which suck. Upgrade to aluminum / composite bunks cost I don't have yet. I'm still saving the first part....

Are you interested in selling the trailer? You could take the funds from the sale and purchase an aluminum trailer. If you wish to sell it PM me.
