Help, we were finally about to hook everything back up on the boat and and we are off by just a about a 3/4 of and inch, are there any adjustments that don't involve pulling the engine and shaving the stringers?   ------------- 1985 Ski Nautique 454 Project Boat |

Jon, Is the shaft centered in the log? How about the strut? Centered on the hull and not bent or twisted? Are the stringers centered? Yes it is centered and the engine is centered. The engine is just over 3/4 of an inch too high ------------- 1985 Ski Nautique 454 Project Boat |

First I suggest pulling the mounts off the engine for a good cleanup and paint. You did a great job on the engine and looks like nothing on the mounts. Pull them apart wire brush or sandblast then paint. I feel once you take them off and apart you will see the adjustable features. Horizontal is my moving the shank of the tie rod in the split block. It looks like you still have some vertical left to lower the aft end. Like Pete said Do yourself a favor and pull the mounts apart clean and coat the pins with anti-seize that will make your life so much easier in the future when you need to do alignments. |

Stringers are too high, we've got them planed down and the wiring finished but have not had time to put the engine back in ------------- 1985 Ski Nautique 454 Project Boat |
