Can I ask if the drag on a Morse throttle control can be adjusted for more drag. This is on my 95 Ski Nautique.
Mine holds RPM perfectly from about 1,500 and higher but under 1,500 I have to hold the RPM or it slides back to idle. My 78 Nautique did not have this issue. I could set fast idle at 900 and it held same as setting at 3,000.   I can pull down the Morse manual but I thought I would check with those with experience first.   Any downside to adding more drag?
This unit has 150 hours on it now so it should be just breaking in and working well.
Thanks
Mark

Precision is better when the springs are pulling back against the backlash all the time.

But, that said, if you prefer sticktion, skidim sells a cable clamp to do such a thing.

I have not had one apart so have not inspected the springs. Maybe one of my springs is weak and needs replacement. It will not hold a fast idle but will hold at wakeboard speed with the kids. I guess I will read up and take it apart one of these days.
