Here is an idea I came up with to protect your boat cover from getting cut by the corner of your windshield. Just take one of those noodle float toys and cut a slice down the length of it. Next cut it into 3 equal pieces, then place one piece on each corner of your windshield and one in the middle. see pics. Its an easy way to spend $5 to protect your $200 cover.

However, usually there is an adhesive applied that will eventually goo up the windshield when the waxed tape falls off in the heat. Whatever floats your boat.
