Here is an idea I came up with to protect your boat cover from getting cut by the corner of your windshield. Just take one of those noodle float toys and cut a slice down the length of it. Next cut it into 3 equal pieces, then place one piece on each corner of your windshield and one in the middle. see pics. Its an easy way to spend $5 to protect your $200 cover.

However, usually there is an adhesive applied that will eventually goo up the windshield when the waxed tape falls off in the heat.

Whatever floats your boat.

My Angola Canvas Sunbrella cover has heavy lining material for th windshield and all hard points. Those folks know what the heck they're doing.

I agree. A quality cover will have reinforcement built in at all high stress points.
