My Sport Nautique came with a 1999 Prestige single axle trailer. Prestige is basically a copycat of Ramlin, but has its differences. One of the main differences is that the bunks on the Prestige are about 10" wider and cause the boat to sit much closer to the fenders. I had a few accidents while loading and It's also not quite up to the quality standards of Ramlin.

I found a neglected galvanized Ramlin and decided to make a swap. The trailer needed work, but I was up for a project. The whole trailer was in good shape, except the top of the channel. I decided to go the POR15 route, installed new bunks, carpet, repacked the bearings, and new tires.

I could write more, but it was my first time changing the bunks and carpet. I found a couple old threads on here that helped a lot. Thanks.

Items Used
2 x 16' pressure treated from home depot (only need ~14') - $15
1/2" Stainless Staples (1,000) - $15
12" x 30' Bunk Carpet from E-bay- $40
2 x Carlisle Radial Trailer Tires (LR D) - $160 Installed
1 Quart - POR 15 Silver - $45 (pint would have been plenty)
20 x 3" Self Tapping Stainless Hex Scews (#12) - $15
Harbor Freight Wide Crown Stapler - $20 (well worth it)

I started with two screws at the front of the trailer and used couple straps to bend the boards. I let them soak in water a day or two before installation. Cut a 30 degree angle on the bunk boards and sanded the edges down.

I could have installed the carpet before hand, but just stapled it to the sides. Doesn't look as good, but its not a beauty queen anyway.
