Hey guys,

Ok, the more I read, and the more images I look at of engines, boats, transmissions, etc, the more I have questions. Just pulled my boat out of winter storage, and getting it water ready. I am going to change the transmission fluid yet. Here is where my question lies.

I have a PCM 1:1 transmission. my service manual shows a different dipstick, then what is on mine. The screw in dipstick I have looks like one from a Velvet drive. How do I know I have the correct fluid level, if my dipstick is incorrect? Also, how exactly do I ready this dipstick? It has TWO lines..I assume one is a "low" indicator, and the top line is the MAX fill line??   DO I check level screwing the stick all the way in or resting it on top, as the manual states. If anyone can shed some light, I'd feel more reassured on this issue.

Here's a couple pics.

Ok, I talked to and confirmed with Nautique Parts that my dipstick is indeed correct for my transmission. Glad of that.

I just wanted to ask you guys still about the TWO lines on the stick. I replace my fluids "cold" normally, and do I fill to the top line on the stick? or above the line? Any thoughts would be most welcome.

Thanks
