My Chrysler 318 has 2 impellers in the raw water pump. During the process of replacing, one of the woodruff keys is frozen on the shaft. Any ideas on getting this key out without damaging the shaft?

ALSO...while I am asking questions, how do I remove the pulley that is part of the raw water pump?

Thank you for your time and willingness to offer suggestions.

Terry,
You need to get a punch on the key and dive it out. Since the key way for a woodruff is half round, it should roll out and you shouldn't damage the shaft. Any dings on the key itself can be filed out.
