Gotta love questions like this with zero pictures and part numbers but....Any speculation on what distributor cap might be in my dads '75 with a 351 Waukesha/PCM? Dizzy I believe was replaced a few years back by SECC but not certain. I am certain it's electronic and just to look at it the cap its the same part number as it always was. Awful lot of variables here,all bets are off. If you replaced it with a Prestolite after 87 it would be http://www.skidim.com/DISTRIBUTOR-CAP-PRESTOLITE-W_SCREWS-87-UP/productinfo/RA108003/" rel="nofollow - this one. But who knows maybe they used another brand or maybe they had a nos clip down distributor. | The original 1975 distributor would have been a Prestolite ( at least the one I had was) with the clip down cap but like Gary sez.....there could be other choices depending on replacement time.. |

I thought you didn't know what it was. Why don't you just get a Mallory cap then? Mallory 209D, you don't want the 209M because it( the 209M) has a vent hole in it |

The original was a Mallory. I just can't remember if it's still the original or not and if not, didn't know what the replacement might likely be.
