I have a 1991 Ski Nautique and the lockout ring on the throttle lever is not functional; that is the lever passes from forward to reverse without locking in the neutral position. The spring seems fine so I imagine there is a worn part somewhere inside. Anyone had any experience with this, and is it possible to fix?

Very common issue.
I tried to fix it with a heavier spring, to no avail.
I bought a replacement lever, that was at least 6 years ago.
It was hard to find back then.
Search for MV2 lever, maybe you will get lucky.
It is just held on by a set screw underneath.

Is the plastic lock pawl wearing out?

Thanks for the replies!
Not sure about the lock pawl. I will have to take it apart. If it is worn out is it possible to get a new one?
