I have a barefoot with a 454, ecm just recently quit, replaced with a distributor and coil, but engine still doesn't run good. Nautique sells a conversion kit to do same, has anyone ever used it? ------------- Dave |

Nautique offered a conversion kit, a mallory distributor, coil, wiring harness for $700.00 I bought the items thru Summit Racing for $200.00 The wiring is pretty basic to bypass the existing wiring. The engine misses really bad, and won't idle. ------------- Dave |

I assume you used a marine distributor? That shouldnt affect how it runs, but an automotive unit would be a safety hazard. I agree with Bradley950, check the simple things first- start with the firing order. ------------- |
