Hello guys, just picked up a '95 Ski Nautique with a GT-40 engine a month ago. I am extremely happy with this boat but it does need some maintenance and some fixing. So far I've fixed the bilge blower that was disconnected, hose had holes in it, and the blower stopped working as the blade was hitting the side of the housing causing an awful noise. I installed a new stereo since the one in the boat was from 2002, I fixed 3 gauge lights that weren't working, replaced the 12v accessory socket on the dash that was destroyed, adjusted the throttle so you have to pull up on the lever to get into gear, replaced the hood struts, and I added a safety cable to the trailer. I also removed a silly subwoofer. Anyway, this boat came with a heater craft heater and I was excited to use it. I turned the pump on (maybe the pump is for the shower?) and set it on high setting but nothing came out. After getting under the bow I saw that 2 hoses were disconnected. I didnt see anywhere they would typically connect to. Is there a general spot that the hoses need to be run to and from? I was thinking maybe it was disconnected due to winterizing. I also need to fix the crappy clamp on battery cable end, I need to figure out why a wire was cut off the harness and relayed, and why my temp gauge doesn't rise past 120 degrees. Thanks!

Welcome board Trevor! Great looking acquisition! How many hours on it? More pictures would be appreciated. Pic of the hoses mentioned? You will get your answers here. Being in Orlando, Fl heaters are against the law. Ok that's a stretch to say I don't know anything about them. Water temp likely can be adjusted with a thermostat change. Welcome to the forum. I like the boat, Being that it is over 20 years old, it is normal to have some things to fix. Sounds like your list is not too long. The temperature issue could just be a missing thermostat. For the ends of the battery cables, I used the brass ends from Advanced for about 7 or 8 dollars each. They do not corrode as quick. Heater normally would not have a pump, so the pump is likely a shower as you mentioned. The heater core most likely is behind the drivers kick panel or up under the helm or bow area somewhere, there should be 2 hoses going to the core from the engine, (1) maybe from the water pump and the other from the intake manifold (that is how my SBC is anyways, Ford may differ slightly). Many years ago, it was discussed on this site that the heater cores from Heater Craft, Inc., were able to be crossed over to a Ford Car or Truck. The same heater core was used in some Ford vehicles. It can do the search you may save some bucks.
