Has anyone installed anything like this in an older nautique? I know the new boats have it standard but I utilize my "older" '89 Nautique quite a bit at night and would like to install some type of low voltage lighting system under my side step in's on mine. Anybody have any ideas? Any and all help is much appreciated.

Great idea. We also boat at night and until you mentioned this we were satisfied with stepping on expensive ski's and kids.

Maybe some small lights similar to something used in a glove box?

I think I would look at the 12V neon they have for computer cases or the light rope you get at HYome Depot. A line of that under each side in back would be great You could hook it up to the Aux switch and it wouldnt draw much power
