I'm just curious. When you take you boat in to be painted, how do they paint the bottom? A section at a time while the hull support is moved back and fourth? Man this is time consuming. Do you pull the engine and let them turn the boat over?

Hi Jim

I turned mine over when I painted it, but I had nothing in the boat but a new floor.

If the shop you take the boat to sprays boats all the time, I would say they could paint it successfully with out turning it over. I am sure they have a few tricks up their sleave.

If it is an automotive paint shop, I would turn it over.

I was surprised at how easy it was to turn the boat over when it had nothing in it, just me and my brother. A third person would have been very handy.

Regards
Rob

Why not just use the lifting rings and hoist that baby in the air. You could stabilize the boat from swinging/moving by tieing off the topside.
