Hello again everyone,

It has been a while and after getting married and having an awesome honeymoon, it is now time to face reality and try get my boat on the water before summer (southern hemisphere)

My block is beyond repair as are the heads and manifolds.

At this point I am looking at a reman longblock and shipping it in from the states as this will be a cheaper option for me and probably more reliable than local mechanics, boating isn't huge here and not many people have inboards, especially not reverse rotation.

Any recommendations on where and what.

Jegs seems to have a lot of good reviews.
Rapido Marine is a lot cheaper and has mostly good reviews.
ebasic is midway price but reviews on service are shocking.

Any other recommendations or advice is always welcome.
Also if you have a spare decent engine and willing to crate it pm me and give me info,

I just don't want this poor 2001 to sit another year unused.

You might want to check with Jody at Florida Inboards. Sometimes he has good used engines for sale.

I am sure he would help you even if he doesn't have something on hand.

I've heard some good things about ATK Marine Engines. In the USA, there is a company called http://www.michiganmotorz.com/remanufactured-marine-engines-c-31_51.html" rel="nofollow - Michigan Motorz that has a good following.

I’ve used a few rebuilds in my time and ATK seem to be the best that I’ve used. I have two ATK’s. Currently running one in my 93 Ski.
