Here's a older wiring diagram that does show an external voltage regulator. It may help in your wiring quest!

Chris,
The above should help. Is there a specific problem you're trying to solve?

Welcome to CCfan. How about some pictures?

Thanks! I have a couple gauges not working and the nav lights weren't working but I got them working this morning. I have found the engine, transmission and carburetor manuals but nothing on the actual boat. Just trying to get as much information as possible. Pretty solid boat and well taken care of. I will take photos tomorrow and upload. Thanks again.

Chris, I see that you're in Adel. IA. You probably know or should at least know Chris Mars (storm34). He is also in Adel, an active member here and has small fleet of CC's, So you need to hook up with him as he can probably help you with many questions about the Mustang. I'm part owner of the family farm in Perry, need to make a trip there soon and talked to Mars about it yesterday. It is indeed a small world. Welcome to CCfan and see whatcha got!!

Thanks Morfoot I will contact storm34. I'm having trouble loading photos of the boat. I'll keep trying.

....Yeah well, might have been in another life but Dad's sister was already farming the land and it wasn't big enough to support two families. Plus my Dad was sick and tired of cold ( because he'd broken his neck in the army and extreme cold gave a whole new meaning to pain) )shoveling white stuff, So he loaded up the truck and moved to Atlanta.
I know nothing about farming except where to put gas in the Tractor. When Dad passed, his half of the land was willed to myself and my two siblings. Tis indeed a big world made a little bit smaller thanks to the power of the internet and smaller than that when one of your ski buds lives next door to the family farm in Iowa of all places. Hope to get some ski time in with Mars and maybe even the "new" Chris if Mom and I make the trip up next week.
