My boat is holding water and not kicking in the auto bilge when the ski locker has about 5 inches in it but the pump kicks on and off without pumping out water. Any suggestions why?

Bad pump? Hole in the outlet hose?
That's about it.

Mud dobbers 2” inside the outlet? Happens to me yearly and same with furnace exhaust on my camper.

Tripped fuse? Check the breaker box on the boat under the helm. Mostly likely bad pump.

According to the owners manuals there are two pumps. Are both running when you hear it? Maybe only the pump that is not in water is running? How long does the pump stay on?? From the manual. "The bilge pump switch turns on the bilge pumps. There is a bilge pump down by the pylon and another bilge pump back by the rudder. When you push the bilge pump key on the keypad, both pumps will come on and run for several moments to “sense” of there is water in the bilge."
