Began building a smaller, lightweight motorbox for '81. The lower portion (Coosa 26) held to floor with thumbscrews, will be carpeted. , Upper part (composite) hinges, unupholstered.. Couple cupholders for rear passengers. Here is lower in rough-in.

Do you think you’re going to save weight? The factory glass boxes are pretty light.

One would think. My original upholstered box is 59.5 lbs. Not exactly svelte. Targeting 25 lb. finished.
