So, I think I just made the mistake of offering to buy something that, it turns out, the guy is willing to sell. Actually at a price I can’t walk away from. It’s a decent shape, but badly neglected, Fish Nautique. I’ve always wanted one, because I’m an idiot, I guess. Anyway, any of you guys running current Acme or OJ’s on a FN care to share prop model numbers or suggestions? I suppose, being a V, possibly even worth looking at what a BFN would run?

Patrick, Is there a prop on it now? If so, what is it and what's it's performance? That would give you a good starting point.

Honestly Pete, I pick the boat up this afternoon and it’s likely gonna be some time before it’s back on the water. The prop looks original and in pretty rough shape. I wouldn’t want to run it at all. I’ll take some pictures of the boat when I bring it home. Maybe I’ll include some of the weeds growing in it.

You should probably be wondering what transmission was used in 89 instead of what engine was used in 89

I just bought an 1978 Fish with the 351 and have 15 x 13 prop. I have not ran the boat yet as it needs some work. By looking I thought the prop was wrong as it is so close to the bottom of the hull. Is the 14 x 11 the correct one?
