Spent the day yesterday working on cleaning the bilge and under tank area while waiting for parts to arrive for the 98 SN with GT40. Today I was working under the boat removing the cutlass bearing and got up and looked inside and found this round thing laying on the carpet near the back of the boat. I cleaned most everything out of the boat yesterday when done cleaning, and do not remember seeing this. Do not remember removing it from anywhere in the boat. It is 1.45" OD and the inside is tapered from 1.23 to 1.36 ID. Looked up under the back and side of the boat thinking it may have fallen from somewhere underneath, but nothing that I can see that it would have come from? Checked with the wife and she didn't put it there, (or wont admit it) No numbers, name, or markings on it. Any Ideas?
