In a few days swapping the pmc 40 for an 80. Ford motor, works fine except for the whine .Can anyone use the trans when it is removed? Free, not shipping, you pick it up. Randy. Lower Alabama

Can't wait to see the journey this makes on it's way to the North, through the CCF underground railroad.

Received the PMC 80 due to backorder, getting ready to start the switch on the 1990 nautique. I can use any advice,. looks like remove the engine cover, muffler, starter, drive shaft, bell housing.. Who ever wants the 40, I will post when ready for pickup, again works fine using it this weekend shifts smooth, just can not ignore the whine.. Randy

Swap is straightforward... motorbox, rear floor panel, (rear seat if it’s in). Muffler, cable and any water hoses in the way. Then unbolt from coupler, and the mounts from the cradle (leave mounts on transmission. Bottle jack under an exhaust manifolds to take the weight off the mounts. Then the bellhousing bolts and slide it back. You could also pull it with the bellhousing on it, which requires removal of the front lower panel first... has to come with either way for the damper change. About a 20min job if you’re hustling.

Please PM me when the 40a is out- I have a home for it!
