I just bought a 1999 Ski Nautique with the GT-40 motor and my check engine light came on after about 15-20 minutes of driving. I did put in new gas beforehand, it did have about or a little less than 1/4 tank of gas and I filled it.
What would people recommend I do?

Thanks!

You could read the thread in the link for some info on what turns that light on as a good starting point

More information from you would be good too, like is your speed limited to 2500-2700 rpm or so when the light comes on?

Have you visually checked your impeller? High cooling temps and low oil pressure are a couple common items that will set the alarm.
