HI CCF's - Getting ready to replace the worn-out carpet on my 89' SN. Planning on using a 20 oz rubber backed marine carpet. What adhesive would you recommend? I replaced the carpet on my bass boat last year and used Roberts 6700 Carpet Adhesive which seem to work well but I've also seen folks spray on contact cement instead (which may make the installation process faster), Any pros/cons that need to be considered on each or other suggestions? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

William, I have heard of some having problems with the 6700 curing completely. Being a water based product, it's " moisture resistant" after it's "fully cured". I've had great results with: http://www.robertsconsolidated.com/products/outdoor-carpet-adhesive-2/" rel="nofollow - Roberts 6040 Solvent based contact adhesive works great too but, you have zero room for adjustment. Once it's down, it's there to stay. The 6040 does allow adjusting before it fully cures.
