I own a `1983 ski nautique, and was trying to find out the exact colors to have it repainted. It is the original color way (but sun faded) as well as matching original seats. I want to find out all of the exact original colors to have it repainted. I have tried calling correct craft with the VIN but I dont think I have the correct number. Would anyone know the colors or have access to them? Or the correct phone number to call with the VIN?

Evan, Here's the colors that were available for your 84. This is a page from the 84 brochure in the reference section.

Are you sure you want paint and not gel? Have you tried a wet sand and buff? That typically will bring the hull back to original if not better!!

If you had a darker, more out of focus picture, that would be helpful.
Presumably it’s one of the standard options shown in the brochure... if you want to check it out and let us know which one that might help too.
HIN won’t be helpful here- but we can probably figure it out.

I would swear my 84 that I sold last year had literature and info on rustoleum paint colors for it. I assumed that in that year the colors on the sides were paint. they looked like it too. Never tried buffing it or doing anything with it.

Probably will gel, but only really need to do the stripes as they are the only place that is worn. Have not wet sanded and buffed it though.

I think I got the trailer and boat dates confused, 1984 trailer and 1983 boat.

Evan, Without a better picture of your boat, it's hard for us to determine what color you have. Take a look at the 83 brochure in the reference section. There's a page with the color combinations available. Once you identify the colors, then I feel we can come up with the paints used. There's probably a thread on it we can find.

For the Tawny or brown it is: Rustoleum - Leather Brown Rustoleum - Terra Cotta Rustoleum - Sand
You won't find Terra Cotta but you can mix it by adding Orange ( Rustoleum ) to your Rustoleum - Leather Brown.
