Who's this? It's gotta be someone here, I feel like this boat has been discussed here before. Terrible pictures, but all I had was my phone for a camera. I saw it several times yesterday but only at a distance, then again this morning - skiing of course.

Next time stop by and pick me up for a ski!

The location listed in your profile is “United States”. There was more than one yellow promo made in 71-72... it might help to tell us where you saw it.

Not the greatest photos. Kinda looks like 80-81 graphics

This is on Squam Lake in New Hampshire.

Kind of looks like this one, but honestly, I've only seen it at a distance.

1980 -

It's been 10 years since that was posted, but it's probably the same as https://boats-from-usa.com/correct-craft/correct-craft-ski-nautique-85394" rel="nofollow - this one

Here's a pic - again, it's "similar" but I can't say for sure if the graphics are the same.

Anyway, it's a cool boat and looks really nice at a distance. My kids are obsessed with "the loud yellow boat" so I thought I'd see if we could figure it out.

Agree on both counts. When they stopped I should have just zipped out there but I was on my way to work and my boat was completely covered.

Looking at those photos I feel like Vincent Gambini:
So, Mr. Crane, you can positively identify the defendants, for a moment of two seconds, looking through this dirty window, this crud-covered screen, all of these trees, with all of these leaves on them, and I don't know how many bushes.

Well, I located the boat yesterday. It's the same one from the pic I snagged from the Nebraska for sale listing. I knew from 200 feet away it was the same, based on this:

The owner wasn't in the boat at the time, but a bunch of people were hanging around the dock, so I stopped by. It turns out his brother was in sitting in the boat, and I tried to buy his 90's Sport Nautique from him years ago. Instead I bought a pool table from him - purely coincidentally via craigslist. He still has the turquoise Sport, it was right there at the dock too.

Long story short, it's a 1980, same one as in the links I originally posted. Seems like it's had a series of owners who have taken really nice care of a somewhat rare color combo. Evidently they had to do some major engine work this past year, despite an "overhaul" in 2012, whatever that was. Maybe it was some new gaskets and fresh paint and nothing more. Anyway, there you have it. Nice boat, nice people. Maybe I can still get them to pull me for a ski. My SAN's wake isn't too flat even at 32.

If not obvious, the yellow is likely paint and definitely not original... stripes are kinda sorta emulating the originals, but placement and style are a bit off. Unique for sure.
