SInce joining this forum here are somethings I have learned -

If my boat has an issue it has happened to one or many of you and you know exactly how to fix it.

I am the guy who used to take everything to the shop for any repairs because I was not confident in my knowledge or abilities as an engine mechanic-

With help from all the folks on here I have done the following -

Restored GelCoat (wet sand, polish, wax process etc...)
Restored Teak Platform (WATCO RULES)
PCM Retro Kit from PRO TEC (Thank god)
Rebuilt Carb - (Boat starts and runs like FI)
Rewired to the DASH (much needed)
Main Fuel Line Change
Fuel Line from Carb change
Installed 2nd Battery, selector Switch, stereo ETC.
Installed Perfect Pass

Now if something is an issue on the boat, I simply tell my wife no worries I will check the forum and get it taken care of.

I am sure there is other small stuff but just wanted to say thanks and this is by far the most knowledgeable CC group on the planet.

So what you really learned is that asking questions, listening to advice and not being afraid to dive into things, there's a whole lot you can do yourself

And you did
