I have an 89 Martinique (closed bow) that I've owned for several years to which I still enjoy and frequently use. I live on the Warrior River, (AL) and could boat to the gulf should I have the time and money.   We have in the past ridden the boat down to tailgate during football season at the University of Al. My thinking is that I could use the boat more if it had overnight accommodations which brings me to wonder if building a wake tower and installing a roof top tent would fit the bill. I've had a 28' cabin cruiser before, which is enjoyable when your using it but has its own challenges as well. More fuel, harder to load/unload, etc. I also live on a river that does have flood events at time and its best not to have to worry about a boat floating during such an event. I've built a boat rail that I use with the Martinique that was an ambitious project but has proven itself well. To replace the boat with another would mean possibly to have to modify the boat rail. I know there was a cuddy Martinique produced but I know my boat and really don't care to trade it for another unless their where some big gains.

So what's my options?

~Build a tower and install a roof top tent
-If so would stability be an issue
~sell the Martinique and replace with? (cuddy cabin)
~keep the Martinique and add another boat
-which means keeping up with two boats, dealing with taking one out of the water, flood events, etc.
~forget about it
