Would anyone with a mid-70s Ski Nautique with the same graphics as mine be willing to take some measurements of the lettering for me? I've had my gel-coat redone and the guy who'll re-paint the lettering asked for some measurements. He says he does NOT need a stencil. Just some basic measurements of the letter height, width, etc.
Thanks in advance!

Doesn’t need a stencil? Sounds like it’s going to look nothing like original. I think I’d try to get ahold of a stencil and a new guy, if you want it to look original.

Is that a 77' or 76'?? Search Jeff Toro iirc, he did an outstanding restoration job on his graphics and documented it here in a thread, want to say his was a 77'. There is also a graphic file for an 81' in the reference section, perhaps modify as required for your boat.

Those graphics look to have been repainted. Color is different. From the looks of the scoops it was originally light blue. But also transom wouldn’t have a full top line. It would have been split with Competition ski boat in between the lines I think. Also, how long is the boat? Just curious. May be the pic.

I'm pretty confident in the abilities of this guy, I've seen his work. Plus, I just need the measurements for him to give me an accurate quote to do the work. So anybody that can take some measurements for me would really be helping me out.
As for the year of the boat, it's either a 75 or 76. The hull ID number ends in ...M75E. I've found conflicting information about deciphering the HIN, so I'm not entirely sure which year it is.

What measurements are you looking for. I can measure my ski tique graphics and you can go from there. You looking for height and width of every letter or just certain letters? Won’t be with the boat til the weekend. Hopefully someone will help you out before who has their boat closer.

Thanks! The guy who's going to be doing the lettering for me asked specifically about the 'k' on the side. But the width and height of a few different letters would probably be even more helpful. I guess the more someone's willing to measure, the better for me.
Thanks so much to you, or anyone else able to do this for me!

These letters are tough to measure bc of the curve. Hopefully you have some ghosting after sanding. The k is 10.25 height. Total width approx 9.25”. Legs are 2.3125”. The lower right leg is fatter 2.9375”. Most of the letters’ legs are 2.375” wide. They fluctuate a bit. Plus, I taped off the ghosting well but I’m not saying it was perfect. Close though. The “que” are 7.375” in height. S and T and i’s are 10.375” height. T is 7.625” width. Top strip is 2.125 tall. Or same as the e coming off and the bottom stripe is 1.25” tall.
Edit. Measured leaning over the boat slip. I tried to be exact as possible. The k and other full height letters are the same height. Sure the .125 difference was me eyeballing the tape.
