I have a 79 FN with 454 and it runs pretty darn good but I don't think I'm propped right ... It's a 14 by 11 ( not sure brand or pitch ) cruising speed 25 mph at 3100 rpm .. i can get it up to 29 mph with light load at 3,9oo rpm . I can't get much more speed than that regardless of rpm . I never tried more than 4500 RPMs for 10 seconds... It gets out of the water very quickly..
1/4 foot waves were behind me. It seems to struggle to build up speed.
Please give opinions. Thank you...

PS . I also own a 13 x 15 prop as well... Haven't tried it ..
Both props are 3 blade of course ....
