Hello all, First, I hope all of you are well. I've been absent while my wife & I spent the better part of three years selling the house and moving an hour north onto a lake, but we finally made it! I'm getting too old to be hauling, launching & retrieving the boat every time, so this will be great. Now to tap into the infinite wisdom on this forum--what bolt pattern & tire size do I need for my 1984 Ski Nautique 2001 original trailer? The boat is in a friend's shed about an hour from here. The previous owner had put some car tires, I think, on the trailer, so I want to get it right. And what rims & tires do you recommend? I know it would make sense to order online, but my son & I might grab the boats in a couple of days so I might need to pick these up locally. Thanks in advance! I've missed being part of the boating world. Selling & moving was brutal but we're here now!

I'm trying to find a picture that shows my lug pattern. |

| Got it, thanks Hollywood. Tim wrote in that thread that any of the sizes 205/75/14, 215/75/14 and 225/75/15 should fit. I'm finding the 215 load index at most 108 which is 2,205 lb whereas the original H78 x 15" was 2,330 lb... problem? I want the highest load index I can get but the 225's are hard to find in stock. Arghhh, I knew I should've done this before we moved! |

| Axle and bearings are only rated at 3500lb so 4410lb on the tires when combined won’t be the weak link. |

| Hi Tim, hope you're doing well. I get what you're saying. A long afternoon years ago on the side of a freeway with my pontoon boat convinced me to buy the.higher load range when possible. I did find 225/75r15 in stock at Fleet Farm and they're willing to mount them on the right rims for me. Since the 225's will fit ok, I just need to figure out how many lugs, ugh..... how many times have I looked at that trailer? Funny how our minds work, or don't work. |
