92 SNOB 351 ... with stiff steering to the right , replaced the cable no help , I thought long ago on here I saw some talk about filing or sanding the rudder on one side to solve the problem ? Could be way off base here but any help would be much appreciated . Thanks guys

Stiff or actually “pulling”, like if you let go it immediately turns?

Kyle, Pulling toward starboard is due to prop torque. It’s stiff when you try to turn to the right , takes both hands ... it tracks fine

I had stiffness that drove me nuts that was kind of intermittent and it turned out the rudder packing was dried out once it was replaced, it was resolved.

Kyle, As Peter mentioned, check the port by disconnecting the cable at the tiller arm. If the port isn't bound up then you'll need to move forward and check the helm.
