| If I'm going to replace the floor since the stringers are bad do I need to grind off the floor? Or just cut them out with the glass still on them? |

Besides the stringer threads, lots of great info. If noone has messed with the boat previously it has stringers, then a few boards nailed to the top of the stringers running perpendicular to them in the back 2/3rds of the boat. In the front under the seats there are multiple boards nailed to the top of the stringers – then the whole thing was foamed. The majority of the boat the floor you see is fiberglass directly over the floor – where there was wood nailed to the stringers it is fiberglass over that wood. Much of the floor will be ply with a layer of glass over it. In some places there may just be glass. We took an angle grinder with a cutting wheel and went all the way around the perimeter to start. Used the grinder as a guide to keep us a couple inches off the side as not to nick that glass.
