Hi all. A few years back i purchased a restored 1983 SN 2001. The entire time i have owned it, the steering doesn’t turn all the way. It would do the spin out if i go hard right, but it would take a really wide left. So i adjusted the cable and now it won’t spin out either way and both left and right are too wide. So, What need to be replaced? Cable or steering box or both?

The cable may have been replaced by an aftermarket brand, which IIRC, does not have as much 'throw' (stroke) as the OEM cable. You can still get OEM cables, but they are not cheap.
