| From what I understand the main event will be at Lake Lanier Island Resort. There are cabins ,hotel rooms and camping on the island . There are also 10 plus other campgrounds within a short boat ride. The area also has a bunch of hotel,motel and B&B and house rentals check air b&b . If you are thinking about coming it would be best to make your lodging arrangements asap I am sure they will book up fast. If I can help you let me know I have been here for 10 years it truly is in my back yard. |

Not very far at all from the Morfoot Motel and Marina. It's about a 30 min ride from the dock with half being idle only. The enjoyment will be riding/dodging the 6 foot tidal waves from the 40+ ft yachts that cruise the lake on weekends. Roller Coasters ain't got squat when it comes to cruising Lanier on a weekend in a 16'Mustang. Whoooooo Hoooooooo!!! Having attended the SE Regatta last year it was definitely a fun time. Got to ski and drive a 2019 SN and had Scott "the Rocketman" Ellis for a coach for 1 hr. Hung out with he, Danny Amir and Shaun Murray quite a bit at the evening functions. Scott Byerly and I took Kermit out for cruise for about a hour on Sunday that made his weekend. He's a laid back neat guy. Cool swag and dinners all free and courtesy of Nautique HQ. As expected the Old School CC owners hung out together in and out of the water. Add it to your bucket list of Reunions to attend. ------------- "Morfoot; He can ski. Here are some camp grounds near the event 1- Shoal Creek 770-945-8787 A little more expensive but closest to the event. About 10 minutes by boat. 2- Van Pugh South 770-967-6315 A little further north about 20-25 minutes by boat. 3- Sawnee 770-887-0592 A little further south near the dam about 15-20 minutes by boat. 4- Bald Ridge Creek 770-889-1591 Furthest away from the event but closest to Morfoots new house about 25-30 minutes by boat. All camp sites have full hookup water and electric and have a launch ramp on site. |

Looks like the SouthEast Regatta has been Postponed due to this  Virus. My guess it that it will be the Weekend following the REAL masters tournament.
