Thank You Todd/Orlando76!! Neighbor friend seeking a boat for his place down in FLA, sent him this 98 sport as it fit his want list very well, This AM Todd went and checked out the boat and gave a great assessment to help make the decision from 1000 miles away. Worked out great, deal in principal is done and I think Marc got himself a nice boat and a good buy. Great people and community here, thanks Again Todd, owe you a beer or 10 the next time I see you!! Very cool! I’ll never forgot when @hansenindustries aka Chris Hansen checked out a boat we bought from Phoenix and hauled back to Canada. He checked it out and called back. Need a side by side GT-40 and 343 comparison. While we all know the characteristics of each I can't imagine there have been Sports with the same hull but one with excal side by side very often. Great find at a very reasonable price! ------------- '63 American Skier - '98 Sport Nautique |

Which makes sense, assuming the HP ratings are reasonably accurate. GT-40 wins in the character/feel/sound departments though (personal opinion of course!). I've thought about what I would do if/when my engine needs to be replaced. Doubt I'd go excal, much more likely a 351 variant of some sort. ------------- '63 American Skier - '98 Sport Nautique |

To my credit I was still in the fog of some sort of virus, doc wouldn't even see me, said just stay home - If its corona virus you don't want anybody to know, and there is nothing we can do for you anyway. Just stay on the fluids and go to the ER if it gets any worse. NICE! You know you are dealing with some shady people when the guy from Florida asks the guy from Illinois to check on the boat from Florida, so the guy from Illinois asks his buddy from Florida to check, that Florida guy gets back to the guy from Illinois about the boat and the guy from Illinois passes on the info to the original guy from Florida. Then the Florida guy buys the boat from the other Florida guy, except he does the deal from Illinois. The Florida boat seller then sells the boat to the Florida guy who is not in Florida, instead is in Illinois, and then ships the boat to ....... Florida.
