Has anyone made a Stencil Pattern for the stripes and graphics for a 1976 Ski Tique, also does anyone know the exact color name of the red used for the graphics and stripes

Marty,
It's "Safety Red"

I know of no graphics files. Trace what you have so it can be scanned and a paint mask cut.

Pete

Do you know of the specific brand of paint for the safety red?

Thanks

Marty,
I understand CC used Rust-Oleum.

Art Cozier from CC had told me that as well. I have had luck finding safety red from rustoleum, I think they have since changed the paint color name.

I guess I'm a little confused here.

If the color is safety red from Rustoleum and you've found that same paint , then what's the issue?

It seems like other people have been happy with it

Just out of curiosity is this the same 76 Tique you were asking for paint suggestions about back in 2012 and shows up in your avatar and diaries link?

I apologize I wasn’t aware rustoleum made a color safety red, I will look into that color. This is the same boat I was asking questions about several years ago, boat has been sitting on a cart in the shop at the marina I manage since 2013. I boat a houseboat and started a major remodel at my house in 2013, unfortunately the Tique got the short straw on time for me to finish restoration on it. Started working on it again a couple weeks ago, hope to finish before things get busy at marina this summer.

The only thing apology worthy is that you called me Pete I'm just totally crushed

Otherwise here's a link to Rustoleum Safety Red from one of Pete's favorite stores. Lots of places have it.

Ken,
I actually like that store better than the HD. It's my opinion their quality is better. Before my move out of Il. I shopped it over the Depot. Up here there's not one within 100 miles.
