Decided to install a tower on my 1985 Ski Nautique. Don't really want to but need the room in the back seat when my boys are out wake boarding with their friends.

I think I am going to go with the Monster Tower MT1. They have a great sale right now with free shipping.

Has any one used this tower on an older SN 2001? I saw a couple photos where people actually got it to clear their bimini tops ( a huge plus).

Here is a pic of the boat. What color do you think would look best (silver or black)?

Thanks!
Chuck

Feels like I am hanging 10 but in reality - probably hanging 6.

I put the Aerial on my other boat and have come over time to believe the Monster is a better tower.

If the bimini ends up not fitting let me know. We have the same color scheme.

All done.. for now. Not a hard installation. Spent 90% of the time measuring and looking at pictures on the web. Gave up trying to fit around my current bimini. At least in it's original location. Tower seems rock solid. Might go out this afternoon and try it out.

Bummer you had to drill all those holes in a classic....

Was it about preserving a bimini that you didn't consider just using a fly-high pole?

Bummer that I may have to remount the bimini and drill a dozen more holes potentially. Locally there is a guy near me that has filled and matched holes in the gelcoat on this boat before. The bottom line is these things are small by modern standards. We needed the tower (or a pole) to free up the back seat for passengers. The tower gives us the ability to add racks etc to get the boards off the floor to give room for ballast etc. I've actually been keeping the boat pretty clean and original. Unfortunately there are alot more buyers interested in a dirt cheap wakeboard boat with a tower than the nostalgia of a 35 y/o boat.

I have a 1989 SN 2001 and am looking at a tower for the same reason. I'm curious, how do you like the Monster tower now that you have used it? Recommendations?
