Thanks for joining. This forum is more geared towards the older tow boats but I'm sure there will be members chime in to help. The 2019 Ski Nautique is at the pinnacle of tow boats. It is more than enough boat for recreational skiing. When the G series came out there was problems with prop shafts shearing. They are still breaking and my understanding CC is not longer doing anything with them. I have a friend with a G and he figures 2 shaft's per season. Check out Balls of Spray forum. They are all about short line water skiing and can tell you everything about the boat. | I understand that Nautique changed shaft providers in 2018 and the G series shafts are no longer breaking. Of course the 2013-2017 models are still subject to breaking. Of course when you run 5,000 pounds of ballast with a crew of 15 it does put quite a strain on the boat. I doubt many care since daddy’s buying the boats. Lots of them on my lake. One of my friends owns the local Supra, Moomba dealer here and they’re selling them pretty good even with the pandemic. |

If you can afford it...buy it. It is waaaaay more than just a recreational towboat, so don't worry about it the boat negatively impacting your recreational skiing. The engine and transmission are tried-and-tested so no worries there. Correct Craft is known for high quality and no short-cuts. I don't think that you can go wrong. Certainly a lot more boat than you need as a recreational skier, but as said above, if you have the means, go for it. I am just a weekend warrior skier, who gets to dabble in a course now and then (15-22 off, 30-32 mph) so I certainly dont demand or warrant a boat of that calibre, but I skied behind a 19 ski nautique last summer. You can see the wake (or total lack thereof) and total lack of rooster tail/hump in this video. It was an incredible pull. Obviously fit and finish was top of the line and driver and skier amenities and ergonomics are impressive. If it was me, I might lean toward the new 200 and save a few bucks for a comparable pull, but thats just me. Of course looking at a 1 yr old 200 vs 1 yr old ski, will do who knows what to the price difference. Ball of Spray will be a great source of info on your intended purchase. The early model issue for short line, highly competitive skiers was the speed control (Zero Off) calibration. There was an update to the system to resolve the complaint. As a recreational skier it won't necessarily be an issue although I bring it up to highlight the level of detail and tuning for a boat at the very top level of the sport. As a review, the 19 SN throws an awesome slalom wake, has a nice pull (the one I skied behind had the latest upgrade ZO software) and is a joy to ski behind. Fit and finish is outstanding. |

Hi TDR - I've skied on all the TSC hulls (1,2&3), 200 hull, and the newest one. You can get heavy in the details but I will be brief. For recreational skiing you can't go wrong with any TSC hull or above. 2009 SN is a great boat with a great hull (TSC 3), waves are soft and flat and of course get flatter the faster you go. It seems like every time they launch a new hull its a little bit better than the last one. 200 - Waves seem bigger vs TSC3 to me but even New hull, Waves are even softer and their is no spray off the sides at all ! The boat I was looking at has tan seadek. The platform had not been protected and had been stored outside parttime and also in a warehouse last winter. Seadeck on platform was easily noticeable as browner or darker. Then I noticed all the used ones at MiamiNautique had gray seadek. (Sidenote to 75 Tique - 100 to 200 hrs saves $20k or so.) Any thoughts on tan versus grey? ------------- TDR |

IMHO and I think quite a few here will go along with me, Sea Dek is an “acquired” taste. I could get in all the details of the each hull (lifting stakes, manual wake adjustments) but here is the info you requested 1997-2001 - TSC 1 2002 -2005 - TSC 2 - 2006 & 2009 - TSC 3 - took 1 &2 and perfected it. 2010-2018 - 2o0 hull. Like I said, waves seems bigger for trick but they are even softer than TSC 3. Bigger and wider boat. 2019 - New hull - Waves are even softer and no spray at all. It has received criticism that this hull is meant for only prof. skiers skiing at 34 & 36 MPH. I ski at 32 MPH and 34 MPH and thought it was amazing. If you can, go for the bigger engine. AM preferred this and I like it to. I like the feeling that the boat is going to rip your arms off and pulls you out the water. |
