Trying to build the prop brace that some trailers had and don't have one to look at. See pic and asking should the bottom of brace be at the 6" or 8" from ground??

That’s about the same clearance my trailer has. I welded some steel rollers on the bottom cross member so that the prop cage didn’t simply drag on the ground when going over dips, gutters, etc.

John,
There are other trailers that are a lot lower than the 6". You made a good choice. Still plenty of clearance at the prop.

Thought I would post a few pics of trailer work.
Welded and painted, still have to run a brace to next bracket in front with some skids

Redid Fender as boat had been hitting

Tongue

My thought of a tie down with a safety chain

PO did this not sure what went there??
