Happy Fathers day.

Ribs on the grill for me after a nice boat ride.

Good thing I have a paddle in the boat and I wasn't very far from the boat house. The ride was in my X55 which hasn't been in the water for 6 years. The 6 year layup was a combination of selling my house in Il. packing up and moving and then rebuilding the Wi. cabin into a home so time was short plus the Tique was always in the water. Gas was drained, fresh was added but something got to the float needles and seats in the YH's. The engine flooding was to the point that in would no longer run. Today I'll be pulling the tops off the float bowls to take a had look.

At least the ribs were fantastic.

That non ethanol fuel you use is catching up with you. Six years is a long time to let her sit. Good luck with a speedy resolution.

Sometimes going for a nice slow paddle can be relaxing.

Think about the brighter side of things Pete, at least now you can get 6 more extra additional bonus years out of your points

Since you rebuilt the fuel pump last year, maybe there's a connection there

Your description has me confused, did you drain the gas 6 years ago or yesterday?

and.................Tell DVSkier you don't use non ethanol gas

By the way................I'm feeling fairly proud of myself since I didn't refer to those carburetors as "leakers"

I went down to the boat house this morning and opened up both YH's. Yup, a small piece of something got to the needle seat causing one to flood the engine. Put them back together and all is well.

Ken,
I drained the gas last fall when I rebuilt the fuel pump. I figured after the extended layup it was best, but, I was surprise that the gas showed no signs or smell of being bad. I ran the drained gas in the lezmobile! Filled the X back up with ethanol and stabilized it for the winter.

David,
I use ETHANOL fuel. Never had a problem. Ken has stated he's never had a problem with it ether. If you feel you have had a problem with ethanol, maybe you should be looking for something else to blame?

Hey, quit dragging me into this ethanol discussion will ya

I'll jump in and say "I agree with Pete on ethanol" if I want to.

I think I just said it.

Now you can go put some wear and tear on those points Pete

I think you missed this part Ken. Summer came earlier than the usual August 3rd. He's done for the year
