I want to test my engine while I am refitting my boat.   It is a 67 vintage chrysler.   Can I run it off of the hanging hooks or do I need to build a test stand?

I think it would be great fun to run it hanging up like that and watch the effects of the engine rotation...............but a lot safer to build a 20 dollar wooden test stand that resembled the stringers it was bolted to
