What size rope goes in the bump rail on a 79 SN?
Also is there a replacement vinyl insert that could be used instead?
Thanks
JT

John,
For a solid replacement, some have used "choose-a-color" PVC from McMaster:  https://www.mcmaster.com/vinyl-tubing/color~blue/" rel="nofollow - https://www.mcmaster.com/vinyl-tubing/color~blue/  Scroll down to "firm opaque".

5/8”

Just noticed you have a ‘79 may need this, might want to call to see if it’s 1/2 or 5/8

I tried the 5/8 and was too big, used the 1/2 and could tap in with rubber mallet.
Will this nylon type rope be ok?
