Can anybody with a 2000 Sport or similar rear seat configuration tell me how their seats are attached to the fiberglass tank cover. Mine are just sitting on it and move around all the time and its driving me crazy. PO must have left them out all the time.
I'm looking for a good mounting solution (possibly detachable, maybe hinged)

Snap or Velcro.

I did see a bent up snap that didn't work anymore, thought it was a poor fix attempt by the PO.

Mine have a snap on a strap in them. I rarely have them in though

My middle seat that is removed as a step through has this on the front, but not the corner seats.

As I recall on my ‘99 Sport, they were all snapped down Paul, similar to how you see the center cushion. Don’t remember if there was Velcro. But someone will chime in with a pic. Quite possible some of those straps with the snaps on them have disappeared.

Did my 99 sport rear seat bottoms in April. There is a carpeted base that slides over the fuel tank. The two outside seat bottoms are screwed down to that base with two stainless screws coming up from under the base into the bottom of the seats (seat bottoms are a starboard or similar material). The middle seat bottom sits in with no screws. There is a snap. I never used it.

Ah, that would make sense mounted like the observer seat. Thanks.
