I ordered a cover from Angola Canvas for my 176 back in 2013...The cover I got goes over the swim platform and you tighten the drawstring. I believe they did offer a cover that would not cover the swim platform...
I went the cheap route and got the canvas cover. Just two years later the area around the swim platform was wearing and a couple of holes developed. The platform is just above the waterline, so any sort of wave splashes up on it, so it is almost constantly wet. I tried applying water-proofing to that area, but it didn't last long and stayed wet.
I reached out to Angola and they offered to repair that panel on the cover. I shipped it back and they returned it and had replaced that canvas panel with a synthetic material. (The name of the material escapes me at the moment. Not Sunbrella, but the next step down...)
I still have that cover, but this will be its last year... I'll be shopping for a new one this winter. I was very happy with Angola Canvas. The canvas cover I got was a nice fit and I thought it was excellent service that they repaired it.
I would definitely order from them again and I will definitely spend the extra money for a Sunbrella cover! Give them a call...
Now, if they can only make a cover that is spider repellant!!
Hope that helps you... Kyle
