Hi. I bought my Ski Nautique new in 1991 and after almost 30 years she is needed new stringers and floor. I have cut out the floor and removed the foam. Does anyone know how far forward the main stringers go? Do I have to cut out the box at drivers feet?
Thanks.

Edward,
Take a look at the FAQ thread in the maintenance section.

There are some great links to stringer work.
Also, in the maintenance section there's this thread:

Thanks. Will check it out. Do most guys put new foam back or is it better without. Most of the shops I’ve talked with suggest no foam.

Edward,
I'd have to say that more go no foam than re foam. Personally, I'd go no foam and add ply over the stringers for the sole (floor).

Ya I totally agree on plywood and do think will go no foam. I couldn’t believe the moisture that the foam kept in the bottom of inside hull.
