Hi all,

New to the forum as I purchased a 1978 Correct Craft T16 about two months ago for $500. It was in good condition and has a running 1998 Evinrude SPL 50. I was able to toss it in the water that same day and everything went well for the maiden voyage.  When I purchased this, I actually knew nothing about this boat but now that I have read entries on here, I am even more excited!

Unfortunately the hull has a tiny little HIN tag (16  232) but no maximum capacity tag (because of the era).  Do anyone know the rated capacities for the 16' version of the boat? Gross weight, max engine size, total people, etc. Or any other good details.  I have read a bunch of other forum entries and have seen a couple of the old brochures from the 70's. Should/Could I call Correct Craft directly to get these answers?

The boat I have started a pretty decent overhaul as there was some fiberglass repairs.  I removed all hardware, patched ever hole, and then painted a non-skid deck paint on the floor and the gunnels.  All new wiring and essentials as this will be sitting at a marina during the summertime. Added two Fish finder/GPS's, wood rails down the gunnels for mounting, bow mounted trolling motor, 3 batteries, quick release pedestal seats, EVA foam on deck, rebuilt gull hatches, etc.  I will paint the hull in the spring and also do bottom paint.  So I am adding frills to a "no frills" boat.

I plan to add a few photos over the next couple of days.  Thanks for the help everyone!

Nate,
Welcome to CCfan and getting the T16.
Stick around and I feel you will get some answers. I also feel the only answer you will only get from CC is to check with CCfan! Big smile
Pictures are always welcome and I know we'd love to see them.
