Looking at the engine cover brackets on the 1990 Nautique, what bolts need to be removed  so I can remove the engine cover? Randy

No bolts, just the 2 pins on the inside that go through the hinge, hinge bracket, and floor panel.

I guess the "take it to a shop" price scared you into doing it yourself or something.Wink

Try the 3rd post from the end in the link below for a "guideline".for removing and then installing the new one.

It was for a Borg Warner 1 to 1 transmission but the basic steps are the same.

You might have 2 studs and 4 bolts holding it to the bellhousing instead of 4 studs and 2 bolts

Had the kit for a year, talked to Florida Inboards, Jody couldn't take the job till New Year. Pulled the old trans and flex plate today, One man job due to room. Did the job due to now retired and acting like a bum. I will post the old trans for a give away pickup, ran fine shifted ok. didn't like the whine for long trips, had to use ear plugs. So far not running into any problems. Randy
