Hi, I have a 1988 2001, just wondering if anyone knows for sure if the Scott Drake “351 Powered By Ford” valve covers absolutely need spacers in order to work, or will the rockers hit without it?

Skippy

Here's a link to an old thread with some discussion about some Scott Drake valve covers.

Like mentioned in the link, it's pretty ridiculous if they won't clear stock rocker arms without buying spacers meaning without the spacers they'd fit nothing.

Nautilus in the link had issues.

I'd get in touch with Scott Drake and ask them

According to their website they'll clear high lift cams and roller rockers

What I do know is that I don't absolutely know Wink

Thanks for the response, I’ll give them a call. I agree that it would be crazy if they wouldn’t fit with stock rockers.
